La Leche League

If you are breastfeeding, thinking about breastfeeding, or are the “other half” of someone who is or is thinking about breastfeeding, the La Leche League is a wonderful resource. They have local meetings every month and can be very welcoming.
As a caveat: They are biased toward bereastfeeding and some people feel they go to an extreme about it. They encourage breastfeeding (pumping and nursing) and are ardently against formula-feeding of all kinds.
